about

Spyros Magliveras, Batteria 360° director

Spyros Magliveras, a well rounded drummer, capable of interpreting a wide variety of styles with great musical taste and sensibility, was born and raised in Genoa. At a young age he is first introduced to piano and shortly after begins to study drums with Claudio Andolfi, Alfredo Vandresi and Giuseppe De Paola. After studying and working in Italy for a few years, he moves to the USA to attend the renown Berklee College of Music, where he has the opportunity to study with Larry Finn, Peter Erskine, Rod Morgenstein and Mark Walker. Four years later, he graduates “summa cum laude” in Performance and Contemporary Writing and Production.

Shortly after graduation he begins his career as a show band musician on board of luxury cruise ships, which, aside from taking him to play on the most beautiful and remote places in the world, also gives him the opportunity to share the stage with internationally acclaimed artists such as pianist Elio Pace, flautist Nestor Torres, singer Chester Gregory, and Hawaiian Jazz master Henry Kaleialoha Allen, to name a few.

In 2016 he moves back to Italy and begins to share his immense passion for the drums through teaching. He creates Batteria 360° in the spring of 2017, led by the desire to offer a new, complete, creative and exciting approach to learn the drums.
